Employment History:
Senior Customer Logistics Coordinator
· Releasing and coordinating shipments with factories / warehouses and freight forwarders while directly corresponding with the VP of Operations and the Customer Logistics Manager.
· Booking courier shipments
· Concentrate on ensuring the monthly shipping targets are achieved whilst monitoring global shipping disruptions including Brexit, COVID, change in shipping line rotations, container equipment shortages, etc. This is achieved by management and co-ordination between customers, suppliers, factories, freight forwarders and shipping lines.
· Responsible for weekly updated shipping forecasts and full documentation requirements to all vendors and stakeholders to ensure stock ordering and stock control is meticulously managed. This being to safeguard sufficient supply whilst maintaining warehousing costs to a minimum.
· Monthly POS reports for US customers.
· Processing customers purchase orders
· Placement of Purchase Orders to suppliers
· Administering the freight forwarding documentation, including specialist shipping documentation - Certificates of Origin, Insurance Certificates
· Full weekly and monthly internal reporting supports the proactive teamwork response to all stakeholders and logistics partners.
Key Achievements:
- Strategic shipment pre- and re-planning during the worldwide container shortage and vessel delays, facilitated for continuous seamless shipping
- Successfully navigated customer’s shipments during the Suez Canal crisis to ensure that all orders were re-routed and met, or within a week thereof, of target arrival dates
- Team collaboration and best practice guidance and advice has ensured that monthly shipping targets have
- consistently been achieved during the increasing shipping challenges during COVID
