Farm Worker & Estate Support | £

We are seeking an experienced and dependable General Farm Worker to join our client in the local area.  This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the variety of farm life, from being behind the wheel of a tractor to supporting our client’s sporting activities.

You will be a key part of the team, ensuring the smooth running of the farm day-to-day while stepping up to provide essential support during the busy harvest and shooting seasons.

As the Farm Worker:

• Tractor Operations: Operating tractors and various farm machinery for cultivation, drilling, and general farm tasks.

• Harvesting: Committing to extended hours during the harvest period to ensure the crop is in.

• Game & Estate Support: Working alongside the Gamekeeper during shoots to provide essential support on the ground.

• General Maintenance: Assisting with the upkeep of the farm, including fencing, clearing, and ensuring the yard is kept in good order.

• Livestock/Crop Care: General duties as required to support the seasonal needs of the farm

As the Farmworker you will: 

• Be an experienced driver: You must be competent and experienced in driving tractors and handling farm machinery.

• Have a flexible attitude: You understand that farming isn't a 9-to-5. You are happy to put in the extra hours during harvest and when the season demands it. Longer hours required during harvest and peak seasonal periods

• Be an outdoor enthusiast: You are comfortable working in all weather conditions and enjoy supporting the gamekeeper on shoot days.

• Reliability: You are a self-starter who can work independently but also enjoys being part of a small, dedicated team.

• Passion for Farming: A genuine interest in agriculture and estate management.

As the Farm Worker will have a varied work: No two weeks will be the same—from the field to the shoot.  This position offers you a permanent and full-time role where you will be working locally for a minimum of a 39-hour week for most of the year.
