Housekeeper

Nestled in the picturesque countryside, this stunning rural venue prides itself on delivering exceptional service and immaculate presentation for every event. The dedicated and welcoming team is now seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain the venue, offices, and accommodation to the highest standards.


The Housekeeper will be integral to ensuring the venue's cleanliness and presentation. Responsibilities include managing housekeeping logistics, organising linen, and coordinating with external cleaning contractors. This role is essential in keeping the venue guest-ready at all times.


Key Responsibilities

- Daily cleaning and upkeep of the venue, offices, and surrounding estate buildings

- Conduct regular housekeeping checks to ensure readiness for guests and events

- Liaise with external contractors for event and accommodation cleans

- Manage and replenish consumables (cleaning supplies, toiletries, etc.)

- Coordinate laundry and linen changes in line with bookings and events

- Maintain and update cleaning rotas to ensure consistent coverage

- Collaborate with the wider events and operations team to uphold the venue's high standards

- Support occasional weekend cleaning and turnaround duties, especially during the wedding season


As the Housekeeper you will be:

- Detail-oriented: Takes pride in their work and notices the small things others might miss

- Proactive with a can-do attitude: Takes initiative and is happy to get involved where needed

- Friendly and personable: Works well as part of a close-knit team and occasionally around guests

- Organised and efficient: Manages time well and prioritises tasks independently

- A team player: Collaborates effectively with others and contributes positively to team morale


As the Housekeeper you will have: 

- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, ideally in a hospitality or events setting

- Must be able to work occasional weekends

- Reliable transport and ability to commute

- Ability to work independently and responsibly, with minimal supervision

- Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks such as lifting linen or moving cleaning supplies

Location: Outskirts of Newmarket

Hours: 16–20 hours per week (including some weekends; flexible scheduling can be discussed)
