Operations Co-ordinator | £28,000 - £30,000

Due to expansion, our client, a growing, family-owned B2B supplier and specialist firm is looking to appoint an Operations Coordinator to join their business.  Over the last decade, they have expanded steadily and take great pride in their flexibility, strong client relationships, and high standards.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a varied role combining office management with hands-on administrative support across their operations, finance, and project functions.

As the Operations Coordinator, you will take ownership of day-to-day administrative workflows—from initial client enquiry through to invoicing—freeing up the management team to drive the business forward. While they are a busy office, phone volume is low (typically just two or three calls a day), allowing you to focus deeply on organising workloads, tracking projects, and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.

You will have the chance to master your role, with there being genuine scope for professional growth and increased responsibility across both operations and finance.

As the Operations Coordinator you will be responsible for:

• Act as the first point of contact for telephone enquiries, taking messages and routing calls.

• Monitor and manage the info@ and contracts@ inboxes, actioning routine items and passing on the rest.

• Manage daily office operations, including supplies, cleaners, and maintenance scheduling (e.g., air conditioning, fire alarms, roller shutters).

• Keep company compliance documents, certificates, and renewals current and diarised.

• Book team accommodation for jobs requiring overnight stays.

Project & Information Administration

• Maintain accurate project records across software platforms

• Produce management reports using tools like Microsoft Excel

• Review, streamline, and improve digital filing and information-sharing systems to support company growth.

As the Operations Coordinator you will be:

• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.

• Proactive and self-motivated: The intelligence and initiative to take ownership of a task and run it with minimal supervision.

• Problem-solver: Capable of prioritising competing demands from operations, projects, finance, and the warehouse while staying calm under pressure.

• High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite) with the ability to quickly pick up new software packages.

• Strong verbal and written interpersonal skills for dealing with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

• Comfortable working with numbers and keen to take on bookkeeping responsibilities as the role develops.

Desirable

• Prior experience in bookkeeping, accounts, or a relevant qualification.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks or job management platforms like Monday.com.

• Full UK driving licence.
