Auto Electrician | £35,000 - £42,000

We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician  to join our client’s well-established team based in Newmarket. It may be you are a fully qualified Electrician, wanting a change in career and you have an interest in vehicles. You'll play a key part in ensuring the reliability and safety of vehicle electrical components. Our client offers a clean working environment as no mechanical work is carried out in the workshop and involves very interesting vehicles to work on.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, wiring, lighting systems, sensors, batteries, alternators, software and screens

• Fit and commission new electrical components for custom vehicle builds and upgrades

• Test and inspect completed work to ensure full functionality and compliance

• Collaborate with the team

• Maintain accurate service records and update job logs

• Adhere to health and safety protocols and workshop standards

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as an Auto Electrician or similar role

• Strong understanding of modern automotive electrical systems (CAN bus, ECUs, etc.)

• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams

• Competent in using diagnostic software and tools

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Full UK driving licence (preferred)

Desirable Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Auto Electrical or Vehicle Maintenance

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (beneficial but not essential)

• Experience working on commercial, emergency, or specialist vehicles is a bonus
