Architectural Technician

Due to expansion, our client is looking to grow their design and project delivery business, working across a diverse range of sectors including commercial, hospitality, retail, residential, exhibitions and bespoke interiors.  This is an opportunity for an Architectural Technician to help shape and influence a growing business working on a diverse and exciting project portfolio across multiple sectors.  

This is not a traditional technical drawing role. They are looking for an Architectural Technician who can confidently engage with clients, develop new opportunities, manage projects from concept through to completion, and contribute directly to the continued success of the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional Architectural Technician who enjoys combining design expertise, client relationship management and commercial awareness within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.

As the Architectural Technician, you will may be an Architectural Technologist, Interior Architectural Designer, Technical Designer or similar professional with a strong background in client-facing project delivery.

As the Architectural Technician you will:

• Develop and manage your own portfolio of clients and projects.

• Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities.

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with architects, designers, developers, contractors and end clients.

• Attend networking events, exhibitions and industry functions.

• Prepare and deliver client presentations, fee proposals and project submissions.

• Prepare planning, design and construction information.

• Develop projects from initial brief through to detailed delivery.

• Coordinate with consultants, suppliers and contractors.

• Provide technical support and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.

• Monitor programmes, deliverables and key project milestones.

• Coordinate internal teams and external project stakeholders.

As the Architectural Technician, you will have:  

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in an architectural, design or technical design role.

• Strong technical drawing, detailing and design coordination skills.

• Proven experience managing projects through multiple stages.

• Excellent communication, presentation and client management abilities

• Full UK driving licence.

• Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
