European Sales

We are recruiting for our client, a leader in the agricultural sector with products available in the UK and for export worldwide, is looking for a European Sales Executive to cover the European market.  The ideal candidate will have experience in European markets, and ideally, speak 2 European languages (aside from English). This role is home-based and it will involve a lot of traveling.

As a European Sales Executive you will:

  • Visit existing customers and maintain current business by troubleshooting, reporting, and addressing problems
  • Develop accounts by checking customers buying history; suggest related and new items; explain technical features
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; cold calling new accounts; building rapport; provide technical information and explanations; prepare quotations
  • Follow up on leads provided the by Company website and convert them into sales
  • Use CRM database, currently Microsoft Dynamic Navision
  • Assess competitors by analysing and summarising competitor information and trends; identify sales opportunities
  • Maintain and improve quality of service by following standards; recommending improved policies and procedures
  • Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participate in relevant exhibitions and seminars
  • Accomplish department and organization goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add product and value to key product ranges
  • Expected to work away from home
  • Report to European Sales Manager
  • Analyse the market and identify target countries
  • Ensure effective marketing campaigns and technical support structures are formulated and implemented

As a European Sales Executive you will have:

  • Fluency in English and at least 2 European Languages
  • Academical Education to a degree level or as a minimum A-level standard, inclusive of science-based subjects, such as Environmental Sciences, biology and chemistry, with excellent quantitative skills
  • Strong European commercial background
  • Proven track record of securing new accounts and working with distribution
  • Clean UK Driving License
  • Valid passport with at least 6 months remaining
