Scientific Engineer

Are you looking for a new opportunity to kick start your career in a Scientific environment?  Do you enjoy Science but would prefer a hands-on position that would enable you to combine science with fixing things! Full training will be provided for the right person, all it takes is a willingness to learn with the ability to build rapport with people. As the Scientific Engineer you will initially be based at the organisations head office in Cambridgeshire where you will be fully trained and then be assigned a few projects that you would be managing and working with around the country.

As the Scientific Engineer you will be expected to provide maintenance, calibrations, fault finding, repairs and testing on a wide range of hand-held and desktop instruments.

As the Scientific Engineer you will be:

  • Carrying out maintenance, fault finding and calibration, repair and testing of the products
  • Provide telephone /technical support to customers as and when required.
  • Administration and updating of information
  • Attend training and meetings on and offsite
  • Act as a technical specialist on a range of products once experienced.
  • Will be required to visit customer sites

As the Scientific Engineer you will have:

  • A can do attitude
  • An interest in science / engineering or electronics
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full clean drivers licence to travel to client sites
